Volunteer Opportunities:
Ronald McDonald House Charities
needs volunteers to staff the Family Rooms for the summer months.
Family Rooms are located inside each of the children’s hospitals and
provide a safe haven for families of critically ill children.
Staffed Family Rooms provide a place of respite for families who are
maintaining a constant vigil at their child’s bedside. It is easy
to sign up for this opportunity, and it requires a minimal commitment.
The Family Rooms are open seven days a week from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.
The days are divided into 3-hour shifts: 9 am – noon; noon – 3 pm;
3 pm – 6 pm; 6 pm – 9 pm. The Ronald McDonald House staff requests
that Family Room volunteers sign up for one weekly shift. If you
are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please contact the RSVP
office at 743-RSVP (7787).
