Volunteer Opportunities
Hospice of Lubbock
Hospice of Lubbock desires volunteers for respite service, visits, and office administration. Training will be provided by Hospice of Lubbock.
Volunteers can work an established schedule or be on call. The Hospice of Lubbock team serves to affirm the value of living fully in life.
They enhance comfort and strive to improve the quality of life for clients and family.
SCORE
SCORE is seeking volunteers to mentor individuals who are involved in a small business or desire to start a small business.
Volunteering with SCORE is a way to connect with fellow or former business owners to transfer your knowledge and expertise to the next generation of entrepreneurs in the community.
SCORE provides confidential business mentoring in person and/or online. Volunteers may lead seminars and workshops as well as financial mentoring.
SCORE is hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House is seeking volunteers to assist with Family Rooms.
Family Rooms are an extension of Ronald McDonald House Charities. They provide a personal respite inside the hospital for families of children who are undergoing medical treatment.
The rooms are available at University Medical Center Hospital and Covenant Women’s and Children’s Hospital (Lakeside).
The Family Rooms provide a place to snack, rest, reflect and freshen up with a shower. Any family with a child registered under hospital care is welcome to use the rooms without charge.
Volunteers are needed to provide information, guidance and support. Shifts are 2-4 hours in length and can be scheduled between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
