RSVP Voice October 2014!

| September 30, 2014

Volunteer Opportunities and Information:

Post Elementary in Post, Texas experienced a devastating fire and the elementary school was destroyed.

RSVP would like to offer you an opportunity to assist. We are collecting all types of school supplies and elementary books (for library).

Books are a high priority as the remaining books have sustained smoke and heat damage. You may drop the donations off at our office or call and we can make arrangements to pick up and deliver to Post.

Participants are needed for a Research Study. Dr. Shen, professor of Pathology, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of

Medicine, is studying the effect of Tocotrienols (vitamin E isomers) on bone health.

Participants are postmenopausal women (at least one year after menopause, age 40 and older).

Participants will received the following at no cost: bone density scan, blood chemistry test and hemoglobin A1c, Vitamin D3 analysis and thyroid exam (TSH), calcium, and vitamin D3 supplement, and mid-study and end study check-up.
