Construction & Helpers
Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to assist in their resale center and construction sites.
If you feel comfortable holding a hammer or would like to learn – their construction staff can show you some tricks of the trade.
If you feel more comfortable working in an administration environment, opportunities are available in committee work, first aid, food services, neighborhood involvement, and office administration.

Emergency Help
American Red Cross is looking for volunteers in a variety of areas.
Volunteers are needed in community advocacy, assisting at health fairs, instructors for classes, office administration as well as traveling to locations in emergency situations.

Helping Young Women
Children’s Connections, Inc. is looking for volunteers to assist in the office.
They are a not-for-profit organization to assist pregnant women who decide to parent or place their child for adoption.
They also assist those who are parental and prospective adoptive parents and child care providers.

Hospice Helpers
Interim Hospice is in need of volunteers in a variety of roles encompassing respite care, sitting with patients, errands for family, clerical, visitation in nursing homes, and assistance in bereavement support.

Drivers & Helpers
Lubbock Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers.
Delivery routes are available and can be completed in one hour.
You can volunteer once a month or more.
If you do not wish to drive, volunteers are also needed for various office duties, kitchen duties, cleaning the meal delivery coolers, building and ground maintenance and assisting with the pet food program.
One hour of your time can make an incredible difference in the life of someone who is homebound, elderly, or disabled.

Popcorn Poppers
University Medical Center is looking for popcorn poppers. You can be an important part of the UMC group of volunteers. Most volunteers work 4 hours, once a week.
However, UMC will work with your schedule. The best part of volunteering is that you make a difference for so many individuals and families.
